You know the ones, they hold up the sign that says "the end of the world is coming...tomorrow" I have seen all this badness with Facebook and have decided that it is not for me. I have tried to show my friends and family that it is really really not in their best interest to be connected with this site... but they don't want to leave it. So, it's just me and a few others who are bailing. I guess if you haven't been following the news and blogs very closely to see just how invasive this little bugger called Instant Personalization Pilot Program and it's companion Connections are, you wouldn't get just how horribly deviant it is. But really, if I make a status update and you "like" it, suddenly it's on google for the world to see. Really? That is not ok with me. And that is just the tip of the iceberg. There is soooo much more that I can't even begin to explain because I am not tech savvy enough to write it out. But I don't really have to because it's out there to be read.
I'm just gonna delete my account.
And be sad because I will not be able to play with my friends anymore.
But really. I could use that time to do things like:
Read a book.
Go outside and get some fresh air.
Talk to my family.
Study.
Explore my world.
LIVE. Somewhere outside of this little box.
So, goodbye Facebook. It's been nice. Too bad you had to go and change the rules. I'm going to go smell some flowers.
